Aaron Street

Welcome to Aaron Street’s Blog, CitizenNext

This site is the personal blog for Aaron Street, a political junkie, attorney, and civic volunteer in Minneapolis.

CitizenNext presents a mix of new ideas and critical thinking about issues at the intersection of American law, politics, economics, science, technology, volunteering, and civic engagement.

Aaron is the Publisher of Lawyerist Media, LLC – a leading legal website providing tips and tools on attorney marketing, technology, career development, ethics, and law practice management.  Aaron also serves as the Advisory Board Chair of the Institute for Law and Politics at the University of Minnesota – a national research institute on issues of political science and the law.

Aaron earned his B.A. in political science and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota. Following law school, he worked as a corporate strategy consultant and later as an election law attorney. He has held leadership roles in local, state, and federal election campaigns.

Aaron currently serves on the Minneapolis Charter Commission, the Board of YMCA Youth in Government, the Board of the Minneapolis FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, and the Advisory Board of FairVote Minnesota.

He collects rare books, historical autographs, and baseball memorabilia.  He is an avid fan of the UFC, the Minnesota Twins, and the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Basketball team.

Aaron and his wife, Nena Street, live in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN.
